Type 4 Cog-Free Smart Drive (New)
EcoInnovation pioneered decogging Smart Drives but F&P just solved the problem with the launce of their new cog free Smart Drive, which we call the 60S-dc. Do not be fooled by appearances this Smart Drive is very different from the first three models. The differences include:
36 stator poles instead of 42
48 magnetic poles instead of 56
Rounded stator fingers
Horse shoe magnets in the rotor
Clip on protective guard
All units sold as new items. We are still compiling information on this unit but the 36 stator poles means that it can be connected in more ways than the 42 pole version. 36 is divisible by 3 twice. Performance is similar to the 60S version that is replaces.
From a 60s?dc base unit you can make the following that can be connected in star or delta:
60S-dc ------------ 12 fingers per phase in series as supplied (60S old name).
60S-dc 6S2P ------/------ 12 fingers per phase 6 series 2 parallel groups.
60S-dc 4S3P ----/----/---- 12 fingers per phase 4 series 3 parallel groups.
60S-dc 3S4P ---/---/---/--- 12 fingers per phase 3 series 4 parallel groups.
60S-dc 2S6P --/--/--/--/--/-- 12 fingers per phase 2 series 6 parallel groups (60SP).
60S-dc 1S12P -/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/- 12 fingers per phase 1 series 12 parallel groups (60P).
