Reduced core adaptor plate

This adaptor plate is used in the making of reduced core Smart Drive generators. You would use it when you want less than 0.7 Watts per rpm of performance. It is normally used for applications where you have a high rpm but only want a small power output. This is typical in high head low flow hydro applications. This plate allows you to turn a large generator into a smaller generator. You can also make many smaller units from a single Smart Dive stator resulting in greater cost efficiency as the stator is the most expensive part to buy. Rotors are fairly low cost. Made from 3mm laser cut steel plate, which are zinc plated. Attach to stator by drilling out the 3.5mm holes filled with plastic in the steel stator body and tap M4 metric. Position disc, and drill through to mark on plate. Then drill plate and attach with M4 fixings. 3-4 fixings are sufficient.
