Steel hub plate

This adaptor plate can be used to replace the plastic hub on the Smart Drive stator. Cut out the plastic hub, this plate will fit in the recess on the reverse side of the stator. The stator mounts in the reverse direction to the original way. The 4 holes will fit onto the standard Smart Drive aluminum bearing block, the large hole provides an accurate spigot location on the bearing protrusion. This makes the Smart Drive stator very strong and able to handle severe vibrations with the weaker plastic hub removed. Using 2 of these discs, it is possible to mount 2 Smart Drives back to back for up to 1.5 Watts per rpm. Made from 3mm laser cut steel plate zinc plated. If you have a Smart Drive with a cracked stator you can repair it with this disc. Please note we are slowly working on a steel magnetic rotor. This will be available soon and is intended for direct drive engine applications subject to large torque fluctuations. Attach to stator by drilling out the 3.5mm holes filled with plastic in the steel stator body and tap M4 metric. Position disc, and drill through to mark on plate. Then drill plate and attach with M4 fixings. 3-4 fixings are sufficient.
