Solar tube demonstration
This is a great educational demonstration. Simply fill the 1.8m high glass vacuum tube with water, place temperature probe in the top and watch the temperature rise. This unit is capable of boiling 1 litre of water in an hour in full sun conditions. Even if overcast you will get water over 50 degrees Celsius. Set it up at the start of class, record the temperature and again at the end of class. This solar tube demonstrates heats transfer principals of conduction, convection and radiation and is an invaluable resource to any school science lab. Supplied in 2m long plastic protective tubes with temperate probe. Optional 2m fiber glass support rod extra $15. Spare tubes $30 each if you break them.
