Latronics PV Edge Inverter (1200W)
The Latronics grid tied inverter complies with NZ/AUS standards for grid tie of your PV array, hydro, and wind systems. This product is well suited to the EcoInnovation range of hydro turbines for grid tied applications that can deliver excellent return on investment. It can also be used with our Smart 500/800 wind turbine products but note that the economics of small, grid tied wind generation is generally very poor.
If your hydro is a considerable distance away from the point of grid connection then you should consider the SMA SunnyBoy/WindyBoy range as these operate at higher voltages and will save on cabling costs.
The 1200W version works on 55-90 VDC so it classed as extra low voltage in NZ (ELV). This means that the power cable can run on the ground which will suit bush clad situations. You will also need the Latronics TC48 turbine controller that ensures that the turbine connected does not over-voltage the inverter when the grid is down.
