Dual Rectification Cabinet
This rectifier cabinet is fan cooled and has many uses. It can be used for both 3-phase and 1-phase applications to convert ac to dc. Fitted with over-temperature protection, large heat sink and 100 amp 3-phase 600V rectifier.
It can be used for:
• Converting 3-phase ac to dc
• Converting 1-phase ac to dc
• Converting 3-phase 100-250vac wind turbine to dc to for inverter grid connect applications.
• Converting 3-phase 100-250vac hydro turbine to dc to for inverter grid connect applications.
• Converting your arc welder into a 24 vdc unregulated battery charger
• Converting your arc welder into a 24/12 vdc regulated battery charger with an MX60
• Provide a dc voltage from our range of 1 and 3-phase variable transformers
• Convert your MX60 into a regulated battery charger for 12/24/48 vdc charger at up to 60 amps continuous from a low cost 230/110 vac gen-set.
Please ensure you are sufficiently skilled and qualified to work in areas above 120 vdc and 50 vac before buying equipment that runs above these voltages for DIY projects. If you are unsure you should seek professional assistance above these voltages.
We use this product with our 10kVA variable transformers to step down the 230 vac voltage from low cost generator sets to about 100-120 vac, this is then fed into the rectification cabinet and the dc output that is less than 120vdc is fed into your existing MX60. This approach results in a cost effective regulated charger than can do up to 3.3 kW on a 48 vdc system and also work at up to 120 amps on 24 and 12 vdc systems when connected to 2 MX60 units. You will need a 5-6kVA gen-set to do this.
Generally we pre-wire each rectifier for currents less than 30 amps, if you use it in applications where you want to run at higher currents (up to 80 amps from 3-phase ac and 60 amp from 1-phase ac) you can do so but you may need to modify wiring size and temperature breaker to handle this. We make it for our MX60 application not yours - but it can be easily modified.
