Type 0.6/1kV LOBAC XLPE suitable for up to 120 vdc in the ground direct burial

Can be used in 2 runs at 70mm2 per run. Lengths available listed above

Each 500m run can deliver the following Watts at about 5% loss

• 24vdc (28 nominal) 250m long 75 W
• 48vdc (56 nominal) 250m long 300 W
• 120vdc (120 nominal) 250m long  1400W

(To reduce to 5% loss you will need to run 2 lengths of this cable)

Each 500m run can deliver the following Watts at about 10% loss

• 24vdc (28 nominal) 125m long  150 W
• 48vdc (56 nominal) 125m long  600 W
• 120vdc (120 nominal) 125m long 2800W

(To reduce to 5% loss you will need to run 2 lengths of this cable)

As a rule of thumb for 8-10% loss for long runs using this cable:
Size in mm2 approx = current in cable (amps) x length (m) / 100
Divide this by 0.6 for aluminium wire

So for example 1700W at 56 vdc at 125m long is 1700/56 = 30.4 amps

Cable size = 30.4 x 125 / (100) = 38 mm2 copper or 63mm2 aluminium
