We have made a new compact hand crank for education/demonstration purposes supplied in a smart case for easy transportation. This unit can drive 120-230 incandescent and compact florescent bulbs directly – just turn the handle.

 The Smart Drive hand powered lighting display is a unique energy efficient demonstration developed over the last few years by EcoInnovation. It enables the user to directly power 230v or 110v lights by hand turning the generator at a rate or 60-120 rpm.
The hand powered generator can power several compact florescent bulbs at once. It can also be used to power low wattage tools that have universal motors fitted. Do not use tools that have electronic speed control fitted. Do not plug in any other type of appliance.
Users/students compare the difference between the work required to drive a compact florescent light (you can do this with your little finger) and the effort required to drive a normal 100W incandescent (you'll break out in a sweat very quickly). This product is intended for Schools, Colleges, Universities, Environment Centers, Councils, Regional Councils, energy efficiency demonstrations, people that want to make a difference and for emergency use situations. EcoInnovation made this originally as a 1-off demonstration and was consequently swamped with enquiries about the product so have made a commercial version.

We have two versions of this product. 1 fitted with the 60S generator or one fitted with the new cog free 60S generator. The cog free unit has very smooth operation, which is nice, but not necessary to get the message across.

Supplied complete globally with generator, Edison screw light fitting and base. Customer need to buy own bulbs so as to avoid transit damage of these parts.
