Blade Retention Kit
If you read our wind turbine manual in the iDownloads section you will see we fit this blade retention system on all complete turbines re-engineered by EcoInnovation. The kit comprises the following:
3 x retention plates for 5 x M8 bolt fixings
30 x M8 panel washer, 15 for M8 fixings and 15 extra for balance weights
15 M8 x 30mm stainless steel fixings
100 mL of glass filled resin and hardener
If you have purchased a Chinese turbine from another supplier or an earlier model from EcoInnovation then we strongly advise you upgrade blade retention using this kit. The blades are placed into a bed of resin on both sides and 5 x M8 fixings sandwich the blade onto the cast hub. If done correctly the blade will be very secure and highly unlikely to come off in strong winds. Remember you will need to balance the blades as well. To do this you need to buy or hire our wind turbine balance jig. This blade retention kit is just another EcoInnovation refinement to make it even better for strong wind sites.
