PowerSpout. Weatherproof, reliable, affordable, and rock-solid, PowerSpout is now a California LLC, established with funding from TechNZ/FRST.
SEANZ 2008 - Most innovative approach to micro hydroEcoinnovation is recognized for its leadership role in continuing to improve this clean, sustainable method of generating electricity.
SEANZ 2008 Wind Award for Performance in the field over the last 5 years.Ecoinnovation wins for its cost-effective and reliable wind turbine made from common and recycled Smart Drive washing machine motor parts, Chinese turbine bodies and blades with the generator, bearings and electronics made and fitted in New Zealand.
SEANZ 2008 Micro Hydro Award for Performance in the field over the last 5 years.
Ecoinnovation wins for its “we do it, we live it, we promote it, we make and recycle it” Smart Drive micro hydro systems which are installed throughout New Zealand, the UK and Europe. The turbine is over 60% recycled and the energy required to manufacture the turbine is from 100% renewable energy sources.
EECA's 2007 E3 Product Innovation Award - For the introduction of a new energy efficient or renewable energy product or technology.This national award was given in recognition of EcoInnovation's line of micro-hydro generators. This reflects our commitment to high envirnomental standards in the production and distribution of our product, as well as the fact that we are unique in using renewable energy generated on the premises to manufacture our product.
Centre of Applied Engineering N.Z. 2007 Engineering AwardNew Zealand's International Centre of Engineering Excellence awarded EcoInnovation this honor in recognition of not only our own products, but also for the design and installation of systems.
Westpac and Taranaki District Council 2007 Environmental Awareness AwardIn recognition of the fact that we use renewable energy generated on the premises to manufacture our product, as well as recycling not only the core component of our product, the Smart Drive, but also packaging our products in recycled materials. Finally, it recognizes our outreach programs that inspire the next generation of environmentally aware consumers.
National Fieldays Energy Efficiency AwardAwarded in 2006 at New Zealand's annual Fieldays event, one of the largest of it's kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
TRC Environment Award Awarded in 2007 in recognition of our for promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.
The Royal Society of New Zealand FellowshipAwarded for hosting a teacher fellowship in Renewable Energy at our completely off-grid production and education property in Taranaki.
